Georgia College History

History

Built with Public Works Administration funding, the Health and Physical Education Building included a gymnasium, a tiled swimming pool, and sorely needed classroom and office space. In 2006, the Health Sciences building underwent a complete interior renovation creating modern, attractive classrooms. The indoor swimming pool area was converted to flexible classroom space, and the old basketball court on the top floor was polished, restored, and now reserved for dance rehearsal. Later, it was used for gymnastics, movement classes, and athletic training.
