Equipment you will need as a beginner:

• Mics/Microphone(s) (such as a snowball, or headphone w/mic)
• Desktop microphone stand or mic with stand built in
• A Computer
• A Mouse (easier for editing) 
• Microphone Isolations shield (to prevent outside noises and help with clean recordings)
• Headphones to listen to playback
   

Chance are good that you’ve listened to podcast before. Things that are typically included in a podcast are:

• Music Intro
• Introduction of the podcaster and the focus of this podcast.
• The interview/content (consider 1-2 educational plugs/events as commercials)
• A thank you/closing blurb
• Music Outro

Consider where the podcast will live.

• If GC affiliated, use the Institutional Repository.
• If this is a personal podcast, ensure that trusted people have access to your content.
