Technology Checkout Procedures

If equipment is overdue, the Library reserves the right to cancel your account and revoke privileges to check out media equipment for the rest of the current semester. If equipment is overdue the Library charges a daily late fine. If the equipment is 14 days late you will receive a fine for the replacement value of the camera plus a processing charge. If a fine is implemented, a hold will be placed on your records until that fine is paid.

By borrowing media equipment, you agree to pay for the repair or replacement of items that were damaged or lost while in your custody.

• Daily overdue fines for all equipment types is $5 per day.
• Lost charges for all equipment is the replacement cost of the item listed on the rental form plus a $10 processing charge.
• If equipment is returned once in Lost Status, the replacement cost and processing charge will be waived but the patron is then required to pay the daily overdue fine for each day not returned, but not to exceed the replacement value of the equipment.
