The papers were divided into categories of research, with Series 1 containing research pertaining to The Butts County Historical Society, consultation with The Current Past's Reneau de Beauchamp, correspondence with others, historic preservation, history and culture, other historic sites, and then documents pertaining to publicity, project manuals, and resources. Series 2 contains images, including photographs, postcards, negatives, and slides of the hotel and other historic structures in Butts County, as well as historic structures relevant to restoration research. Series 3 contains Audiovisual material, mostly related to Muscogee Nation. Series 4 contains the scrapbook made by the Historical Society of the restoration process. Series 5 contains books relevant to the research of the Historical Society, most of which have been removed and placed in the non-circulating catalogue. Due to the nature of the correspondence, materials have been arranged to maintain the photocopies and photographs that were often included with letters.
