Borrowing Library Materials
Russell Library provides Georgia College retirees access to library resources as a part of retiree privileges to Georgia College retirees, as well as faculty granted Emeritus status by their Department, College, and/or the University. Retiree/Emeritus Faculty library privileges include access to materials in Russell Library's Circulating Collection of materials, as well as materials available from other libraries via resource sharing (Interlibrary Loan and/or GIL Express).
Access to GALILEO Resources
Below are the Best Practices recommended for USG Libraries and Campuses for Implementation of GALILEO Policies for USG Retirees. Listed below are library services the University System of Georgia offer for both Retirees and Emeritus Faculty, respectively.

Retiree Resources
There are three standard library services provided to all USG retirees who come to a USG library in person. The three services are
Russell Library provides Georgia College retirees access to Interlibrary Loan privileges in order to borrow materials and articles related to research. This access is extended as a part of retiree privileges to Georgia College retirees, as well as employees granted Emeritus status by their Department, College, and/or the University. Retiree Interlibrary Loan privileges may be activated at any point after retirement from Georgia College.

Emeritus Faculty Resources
Emeritus faculty at USG institutions are provided full library access (the same as active faculty), including remote access to electronic resources; Emeritus/a faculty should contact their institution’s library for details and credentials for remote access to electronic resources.

Russell Library provides Georgia College retirees access to borrowing privileges in order to borrow library materials. Retiree borrowing privileges may be activated at any point after retirement from Georgia College.
