Time Allotment: Approx. 50 minutes

Description:  In this workshop we will learn about plagiarism: what it is and how to prevent it, along with a healthy dose of copyright and Fair Use education. Included are best practices for using copyrighted materials in your work and tools for detecting plagiarism. This workshop is geared towards students as well as faculty.

  • Understand your responsibility as an author protecting copyright 
  • Use the Fair Use Checklist
  • Learn best practices for avoiding plagiarism
