The majority of this collection was transferred to Georgia College from the Mary Vinson Memorial Library in 1982. The papers from Sibley and Sibley were donated to Georgia College in 2004 by Quintus W. Sibley, administrator of the J. L. Sibley Jennings Estate.
The U. Erwin Sibley papers contain 94 legal-sized boxes divided into three series. The majority of the collection focuses on Sibley's many decades of work as an attorney for various clients. Some of the materials require redaction due to containing personally identifiable information.
