Time Allotment: Approx. 45 minutes

Description:  This workshop will help you navigate the underworld of predatory publishing. Learn how to recognize and avoid predatory publishers, discover ways to publish in prestigious Open Access journals, and keep your rights as an author. This workshop is geared towards faculty, but students are welcome to attend.

Learning Objectives:

  • Familiarize faculty with predatory publishing practices.
  • Learn how to recognize and avoid predatory publishers.
  • Understand what Open Access is and how to ensure the right to deposit work in the Knowledge Box.
