Time Allotment: Approx. 30min.


This workshop provides insights for students - with a focus on nursing students - on finding and evaluating research instruments (surveys, questionnaires, or scales, for example) . We will discuss major databases for information only found in the library and strategies for searching the web. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Familiarize students with the most common library databases used to search for research instruments.
  • Demonstrate effective strategy for searching online for research instruments. 
  • Identify types of instruments and how type determines the publishing platform.
