A guide to support online teaching and learning.

About this Guide

This guide has been prepared by librarians to support faculty who are preparing to deliver instruction online. It contains resources grouped by format, including ebooks, videos, online instructional modules, and open educational resources along with information on how to share content from those sources to the learning management system.  For assistance with any of the resources on this page, contact the library at 478-445-4047, or by using the chat widget on this guide.

Instructional Modules

Credo Information Literacy modules are online tutorials to help students learn foundational information literacy skills. Credo provides a supplemental way for students to asynchronously complete foundational lessons on a wide range of topics such as getting started with research, to finding credible sources and recognizing bias, to citations.

Credo modules use the following to interactively deliver instruction to students:

  • multimedia and video
  • self-guided tutorials
  • quizzes
  • text

To review the modules, visit the Information Literacy Tutorial LibGuide.

If you are interested in using the Credo modules our team would be happy to consult with you about ways to integrate these modules into courses or instruction. Please contact us at:

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan or resource sharing is the process through which one library requests material from, or supplies material to, another library.

To access your Interlibrary Loan account now, please go here.

Eligible Georgia College library patrons may borrow a variety of materials, such as:

  • books
  • DVDs and/or VHS video cassettes
  • sound recordings (CDs, LP records, audio cassettes)
  • microfilms

PLEASE NOTE: Physical Interlibrary Loan services have returned with some delays, based on availability of items in other libraries. Interlibrary Loan for digital resources remains available, with delivery online for those resources. We thank you for your understanding and patience.

Patrons may also receive via Interlibrary Loan photocopies or electronic PDFs of articles in magazines that are owned by another library.

Interlibrary Loan enables library staff to search large numbers of libraries at once, borrow or lend to libraries from several miles to thousands of miles away, expanding access to other local, state, national and international libraries.

Before using Georgia College's ILLiad:

  1. Search the Georgia College Catalog and/or University System of Georgia Catalog
  2. Search the Journal Locator

Still can't locate what you need?

Visit the online Interlibrary Loan request FormIf this is the first time you are using Interlibrary Loan, you will be required to establish an ILLiad account. This may be done by clicking the link to the Interlibrary Loan request form.

For assistance with Interlibrary Loans, contact Interlibrary Loan staff at (478) 445-0975 or e-mail
