3D Printing FAQs

  • It's $.10 cents per gram to print. So many of the examples as the 3D Print Desk are around $2-3 but it is dependent on size and density of your print.

  • Smaller prints may take several hours; complex jobs may take a few days. We will attempt to complete your job within 7 days; the average time for a simple print is 1 or 2 days. The print will be attempted twice before it is declared a fail. At this time, there will be no charge for failed attempts. In both instances, we will make contact by the email given.

  • Complete the 3D Printing Request Form at the 3D Print Desk. If you have any special instructions (such as color, infill, size), please notify our Student Technology Assistants (STA’s). Price estimate will be given at the time the order is placed. For each object you want printed, please submit a separate form and .stl or .obj file.
