Paul D. Coverdell Papers

Georgia Senate Papers

Georgia State University in Atlanta officially transferred papers of the late U.S. Sentor Paul D. Coverdell to the Georgia College & State University Library on January 10, 2001. The papers contain the Georgia Senate Papers of Coverdell which were deeded to Georgia State University in 1990. Coverdell was elected to the Georgia Senate in 1970 and was chosen by his peers to serve as Senate Minority Leader, a post he held for fifteen years. The inter-institutional collaboration was carried out on behalf of the citizens of Georgia and to honor the wishes of Coverdell.
