Any time a book in your search results is available from another USG campus, GIL-Find will let you know. If you are unable to obtain a copy of a book from Russell Library, you may request that the book be delivered from another USG campus to Russell Library for pickup via the GIL Express service. Please Note: Only books are eligible for borrowing via GIL Express.
To begin, click on "Check availability" shown below the information about the book:
Next, choose a library from the list of USG institutions:
Click on "Request"
The default "Pickup Institution" is Georgia College. If needed, GIL Express books may be picked up at a different USG member institution library. To change to another USG location for pickup, click the dropdown menu and choose the appropriate institution and/or campus/library location.
After choosing the Pickup Institution, click on "SEND REQUEST" to activate your request.
Most GIL Express requests arrive in about two (2) days, if the item is currently available.You will receive an email notification when the book arrives, and you may pick it up in person at Russell Library's Circulation Desk or at the alternate location you designated. Whether you are picking up your book at Russell Library or another USG location, you will need to present your Bobcat Card to borrow the book.
