The Global Knowledge Partnership on Migration and Development (KNOMAD) is a global hub of knowledge and policy expertise on migration and development issues.

The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC), established in 1998 as part of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), is a key source of data and analysis on internal displacement.

The International Centre for Migration, Health and Development is a Swiss-based non-profit institution established in 1995. Its mandate is to work on research, training and policy advocacy on population movement and health, and in doing so, support national governments, international agencies, NGOs, private sector groups and others working on issues related to migration, health and development.

IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners.

Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan fact tank that informs the public about the issues, attitudes and trends shaping the world. It conducts public opinion polling, demographic research, content analysis and other data-driven social science research.

The Population Division collaborates with other members of the United Nations Network on Migration in supporting the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. The Division also produces estimates of the number of international migrants – the “migrant stock” – at the global, regional and national levels. The data set International Migrant Stock is updated on a regular basis.
