This guide has been prepared by librarians to support students' research needs in socially-distanced, hybrid and online environments. Russell Library faculty and staff asked faculty, staff, and students to hold onto the library items they had checked out when GC moved online in the Spring. All Russell Library and GIL Express items are due back on 8/8/2020.
Hours and Availability
Russell Library is now open to receive returns of those items with limited hours. Our current hours through 8/11/2020 are:
Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Any returns will have a minimum 3-day delay before they are discharged from library accounts, due to our returned-item quarantine. The quarantine time will not count against returned items and due dates, nor will there be any penalties for not returning on the due date of 8/8/2020, since it falls on a day on which we are currently scheduled to be closed.
In addition to the limited open hours, the third floor is not available to patrons. Should you find you need items located on the third floor, please contact Russell Library via the options listed below. Library personnel will gladly pull those items and hold them at the second floor Circulation Desk for checkout.
GIL Express and Interlibrary Loan
The GIL Express and physical Interlibrary Loan services have returned with some delays, based on availability of items in other libraries. Interlibrary Loan for digital resources remains available, with delivery online for those resources.
