The LibQUAL Survey Report provides summary data and shows representativeness graphs for faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates.
Survey Period:
February 20, 2023 - April 7, 2023
LibQUAL is a web-based survey offered by the Association of Research Libraries that helps libraries assess and improve library services, change organizational culture, and market the library. The survey instrument measures library users' minimum, perceived, and desired levels of service quality across three dimensions: Affect of Service, Information Control, and Library as Place.
Libraries have successfully used LibQUAL survey data to identify best practices, analyze deficits, and effectively allocate resources. LibQUAL gives you a chance to tell us where our services need improvement.
Since 2000, more than 1,340 libraries in 35 countries have participated in LibQUAL, including college and university, community college, health sciences, and academic law libraries. This growing community of participants and its extensive data set of more than one million completed surveys are rich resources for improving library services. Please visit the following page to see a list of institutions that have previously participated in LibQUAL: https://www.libqual.org/about/participants
The goals of LibQUAL are to:
All undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff (18 years old and older) were encouraged to take the survey.
Identifying information is kept separate from the survey results to ensure the privacy of respondents. The reporting of results will be generalized to ensure anonymity.
While we hope that you will share your opinions with us, you are not required to take the survey. If you change your mind about participating once you’ve begun the survey, you may simply close your browser. Your responses will not be captured unless you have clicked on the “Complete the Survey” button. If there is a particular question to which you do not want to respond, you may use the “N/A” response for that question.
If you have any questions about the survey, please email the library at ask@gcsu.libanswers.com
