ACRL Workshop "Scholarly Communication: From Understanding to Engagement"

Georgia College's Russell Library in cooperation with Mercer University Libraries and Augusta (formerly Georgia Regents) University Libraries are pleased to present the Association of College & Research Libraries Workshop, "Scholarly Communication: From Understanding to Engagement."

This one-day workshop will be held in the Maxwell Student Union Banquet Room on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Led by expert presenters William Cross, Director of the Copyright and Digital Scholarship Center at North Carolina State University, and Anali Maughan Perry, Associate Librarian for Collections and Scholarly Communication at Arizona State University, this structured interactive overview of the scholarly communication system supports individual or institutional strategic planning and action. The workshop focuses on access, emerging opportunities, intellectual property, and engagement. It is intended to provide a foundational understanding for participants and serve as a catalyst for action to help empower our community in accelerating the transformation of the scholarly communication system.
