Extended Checkout/Reservation Procedures

About Extended Checkout/Reservations

The Georgia College Technology Fee Advisory Committee has provided a wide variety of equipment for use by the students. Equipment is supported by IT and the Ina Dillard Russell Library and is checked out through the Library.

Equipment is available to any registered student, supplies permitting, on a no-reservation, first-come, first-served basis.

Faculty requesting equipment for class projects, class use or research or faculty/ staff advisors requesting equipment for student "learning beyond the classroom" projects are asked to do the following:

  • A detailed description of the project
  • An explanation of how the equipment will be used for the project
  • A clear justification of why the long term checkout of Library equipment is required for the project

Equipment will only be checked out for one, non-renewable period of up to 8 weeks. In some  instances, an orientation session may be required. Equipment may be reserved in advance for qualified approved projects.

To request an extended checkout and/or reservation for technology items, please complete the request form in the tab to the left.
